29 Oct 2013 – World Psoriasis Day advocates for access to treatment
Today, on World Psoriasis Day, IFPA brings attention to the need for improving access to treatment for people with psoriasis. No matter where they live. To illustrate this, we have initiated a photo testimonial campaign, to allow people with psoriasis and/or psoriatic arthritis to share what access to treatment means for them.
Josef de Guzman, Chair of the IFPA World Psoriasis Day Steering Committee, elaborates on the idea: “This is a very visual, impactful way of showing what we as people with psoriasis feel is important. We aren’t our disease or “just” patients, we are people with hopes and dreams and ambitions – just like everyone else. Not receiving treatment for our health problems heavily impacts the way we can live.”
