24 Feb 2016 – World Health Organization (WHO) publishes Global Report on Psoriasis
The WHO’s Global Report on Psoriasis brings the public health impact of psoriasis into focus. It identifies an urgent need to raise awareness of psoriasis and fight stigmatization of those who live with the disease. In various chapters, the Report illustrates the wide range of ways in which psoriasis can impact people’s lives. The final chapter of the Report provides practical solutions to empower stakeholders (from policy-makers to civil society) to improve the life quality of people with psoriasis.
Lars Ettarp, President of IFPA, comments: “The WHO Global Report on Psoriasis, to which IFPA contributed with comments and expert technical review, is a milestone for the global psoriasis community. IFPA and its members, representing more than 125 million people with psoriasis around the world, wish to express their greatest gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the formation of this important report.”
