Our vision is to achieve a world without suffering from psoriasis. To get there, we advocate tirelessly for the rights of people with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis – from the national to the global level. That means talking to policy-makers, lobbying at key World Health Organization meetings, convincing governments to set up psoriasis action plans and raising awareness of the effects of psoriasis among all relevant stakeholders.
In 2014, the World Health Organization’s member states officially approved a Resolution on Psoriasis, recognizing psoriasis as chronic, painful non-communicable disease (NCD).
In 2016, a Global Report on Psoriasis was published by the World Health Organization in follow up of this Resolution, with input from IFPA.
We have founded a Global Psoriasis Coalition to unite stakeholders in promoting psoriasis on the international NCD policy agenda from 2017 onwards.
