What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Annika Sjöberg, and come from Stockholm Sweden, where I also live.
What makes you special?
I started a record label company to give out my sister’s music, and I have been singing background with many of the Swedish most known artists.
Tell us about your professional/educational background.
I worked as Manager for Communication and Fundraising for the Swedish Rheumatism Association for several years, and before that I worked as CEO in communication-oriented companies for more than ten years. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and one in computer science.
Why is psoriatic disease important to you?
I know many people living with psoriatic disease, and the different things and difficulties they go through. For me it’s important to do everything possible to increase the wellbeing and quality of life for everyone living with psoriatic disease, as with any noncommunicable disease. It’s simply a human right to get adequate treatment no matter where you live. It’s also important to be able to connect with others who live with the same disease, to learn, give and get support. I’m thankful for being a part of making this possible through IFPA.
What are you most looking forward to in your work with IFPA?
I really look forward to being a part of the team and community, and to spread the word and support to people living with psoriatic disease around the world, through existing or new members.
